Equine and Camel Research Programme
This is a newly created Programme. The need arose because these species are threatened with extinction. Much of them are transported from the north to the south of the country for consumption while their reproduction has been inefficient. Not much work has been done on them globally. Their reproductive characteristics are being studied with a view to accelerating their rates. They are being characterized and bred for their economic traits.
